Lactic acid and CBD regulate sebum production, Salicylic acid and subtilisin exfoliate, softening the skin. 

• Salicylic Acid: Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) with exfoliating properties. It penetrates deep into the pores to remove dead skin cells, excess oil, and other impurities, helping to unclog pores and prevent acne breakouts. It helps regulate sebum production, making it beneficial for those with oily or combination skin. Salicylic acid effectively dissolves the keratin plugs that form blackheads and whiteheads, making it easier to remove them and prevent their recurrence. 
• Azelaic Acid: Azelaic acid can reduce redness and inhibit the growth of acne-causing bacteria. It can decrease melanin production in the skin, which helps reduce hyperpigmentation such as dark spots, post-acne marks, and melasma. Azelaic acid can help diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines and improve skin texture.
• Lactic Acid: Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) with exfoliating properties. It helps to loosen and remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, promoting cell turnover and revealing fresher, smoother skin underneath. Unlike some other exfoliating acids, lactic acid has humectant properties, meaning it helps to attract and retain moisture in the skin. It also helps with improving skin tone and can stimulate collagen production in the skin which helps improving elasticity and firmness.
• Subtilisin: Subtilisin is an enzyme that helps to break down proteins in the skin, effectively exfoliating dead skin cells and promoting cell turnover. It is gentle on the skin and can enhance the penetration of other skincare ingredients. Regular use of subtilisin can help to keep pores clear and unclogged, reducing their appearance and minimizing the risk of breakouts.
• CBD: CBD can reduce redness in the skin, this makes it beneficial for conditions such as acne, eczema, and rosacea. CBD is rich in antioxidants, which help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals and environmental stressors. CBD is a natural emollient, meaning it helps lock in moisture and keep the skin hydrated. CBD has been shown to regulate sebum production in the skin, making it beneficial for oily and acne-prone skin types.
• Urea: Urea is a powerful humectant, it helps to hydrate the skin deeply, making it softer and smoother. With mild exfoliating properties and with option to strengthen the skin's natural barrier function it is a must have ingredient in a cream. Urea can also act as a penetration enhancer, helping other beneficial ingredients to penetrate more deeply into the skin. This can increase the effectiveness of skincare products and treatments.

Direction of use:

Clean skin before application. Apply thin layer to affected area, 1–3 times daily. Gently massage into skin. Repeat for a few days until you see improvement. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once daily. Recommended to use SPF 20 after using Acnia cream.
